How to sign up for positive rent reporting

 


According to California law (Civil Code Section 1954.07). You have the option to have your Positive Rent payments reported to at least one credit bureau.

 

"Positive Rent Payment information" is defined as information regarding your complete, on-time rent payments, to help build your credit history. However, this does not include any times when your rent was late or not paid in full.
 
 

  • Electing to have us report your Positive Rent Payments is optional.
  • You can opt-in any time as well as cancel or opt-out any time. (You may need to verify the timing of each and how that may impact you.)


If more than one person is listed on your lease agreement, each financially responsible resident must fill out and sign their own form to have their payments reported.
 
Redwood Property is partnering with RentPlus so you can reap the benefits of paying your monthly rent on time. 
 
  HOW TO SIGN UP:

  • Go to https://my.rentplus.com/create-account/basic-info <<<, or click that link. 
  • Enter your First and Last Name and input your zip code.
  • Locate your Community Name or street address from the dropdown list. 
  • Follow the steps.
  • Sign the agreement.


The RentPlus cost of reporting is $8.95 per month, billed directly to your ledger. Redwood Property does not collect any fees for this service.
 
  TO CANCEL:
You may cancel any time, for any reason.

  • Email support@rentplus.com. Provide your First and Last Name and complete Unit Address.
